Founded by Neal Gershinson and his wife Charlotte in 1998, Billy Bag (lovingly named after the family King Charles spaniel!), has since firmly established its place within the accessories industry as a quirky brand based on quality design and innovative prints. Following Neal’s ten years at Burberry, overseeing the global wholesale accessories business their combined talent and knowledge was invaluable in developing the Billy Bag ethos of inspirational yet accessible products. It was this ethos that has made Billy Bag a firm favourite and made its showcase at Harrods in autumn of 1998. Billy Bag has since gone on to enjoy success in over 150 retail outlets across the world. Amongst the brand’s most renowned stockists are Selfridges, John Lewis and Urban Outfitters in the UK From the strength of a loyal and ever growing domestic presence Billy Bag as expanded into new markets; Le Bon Marche in Paris, David Jones in Australia and Takashimaya in Japan are just some of the premium retailers that stock Billy Bag. Further a field Billy Bag’s creative handwriting has translated well into the Asian market where we are currently stocked in six Korean outlets and next season launch in Parkson in Malaysia. In 2005 Billy Bag was propelled into the Duty Free market by popular demand. The iconic Hanna print wallet quickly became a best seller on board British Airways and the range is now stocked in eight domestic airports – the Billy Bag travel range won best new product of the year in 2007. 2008 will see Billy Bag celebrating its 10th anniversary in the industry.
